Voice Of Prophecy International Outreach (VOPIO) is a Prophetic Outreach Ministry.
Pastor Johnson Akinfenwa is the Director of this outreach. He is the Senior Pastor of the True Vine Pentecostal Church, the church department of Joshua Generation (World Outreach) Ministries. His passion is to pray for the end-time restoration of the ‘Office of the Prophet’ as the voice of God for the church and to the world. He ministers the word of God with sharp prophetic insight and many churches, both inside and outside the UK have benefited from his prophetic ministry. In fact, in 1998, God prophetically revealed to him the 9/11 attack in America.
Recently, God has called Pastor Johnson to a higher prophetic unction and given him a burden to launch VOPIO in order to bless the larger body of Christ.
Pastor Johnson believes with every fabric of his being that we are living in a prophetic age, when God speaks, leads, corrects and guides His church through the office of the prophet. He also believes that God rules and intervenes in the affairs of the world through Prophetic Voices, because He (God) is the creator of Heaven and Earth.
There is a difference between those in the Pastoral office and those in the Prophetic Office. A Pastor (Priest) cares and carries the petitions of the people (sheep) to God on their behalf, but a Prophet receives the word from God and carries God’s word to the people on behalf of God.
The Prophetic Office is not more important than any other office in the five-fold ministry. However because of the enormous responsibilities and high sensitivity attached to this office, one cannot operate in it without full persuasion, conviction and confirmation by the Holy Spirit.
Prophetic Ministry is a cutting edge ministry. It is like a master key and is bi-functional in its operation:
It can lock and unlock.
God uses prophetic voices to close up one era and to announce the dawn of a new one.
Prophecy unlocks prophecy.
Prophecy and prophetic prayer accelerates the fulfilment of a prophetic promise.
Prophets release and supply prophetic prayer materials to the intercessors as their warfare prayer materials.
“This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;” Timothy 1:18
Pastor Johnson also believes that there is need to repair, raise and restore the Prophetic Prayer Altar in the church… “Operation back to Bethel”.
No one that has ever been called into this office accepted it with enthusiasm or euphoria or without a sense of unworthiness (inadequacy). Moses, the author of Genesis gave many excuses to God about why he considered himself inadequate to function in the office of a Prophet. Exodus 3:9-11 and Exodus 4:1, 10-12.
From these scripture references, we can see the multitude of excuses Moses put across to God to convince God why he, Moses, felt unsuitable to function in the office of a Prophet.
Prophet Isaiah also gave his own reasons for his unworthiness to be called into the office of a prophet: “….Then said I, woe is me! For I am undone, because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips:….”Isaiah 6:5.
The excuse that Jeremiah gave was that he was too young to be called into the office of a prophet. Jeremiah 1: 4 – 6.
One can continue to mention several names of prophets whom God called to be prophets, nearly all of whom gave a barrage of excuses as to why they thought they were not qualified to be called into this office. But, amazingly with all their excuses before God, the one thing that is common to them is the fact that once God had chosen them, He chose them with their unworthiness and perfected the same in them, turning them to be mighty prophets as they accepted the mandate. That is why the bible says ‘no one can take honor of being called into this office, except Him who called....God.’ Hebrews 5:1 –5.

VOPIO is given a prophetic mandate to organize
Looking at the state of the Churches in the land, there is virtually no link with the rich Christian Heritage of the past, left behind by men of God such as Spurgeon, Shaftesbury, William Booth, John and Charles Wesley, William Evans, Wigglesworth, Wilberforce, John Newton, to name just a few.
This means in essence that the prophetic baton (Christian Heritage) from past generations has not been transferred to this present generation through any generational link. What the churches in the UK have presently is Historical Heritage.
